LA BENJAMINE GOES TO JAPAN

Re-branding of the Japan x La Benjamine capsule collection.
Inspired by “Fukurawaï” (a Japanese game similar to our game “Mister Potato”.
The elements created here mix with the different supports in order to create a visual harmony highlighting both the creations of La Benjamine, but also of the Japanese visual universe.

“Fukuwarai” or "Lucky Laugh" Traditional Japanese game generally practiced during New Year celebrations, Fukuwarai is simple: children have in their hands all the elements of a portrait (eyes, nose, etc.) which they must replace on a virgin face with the eyes blinded.

LABELS, inspired by omikuji.

“OMIkuji” are random fortunes written on strips of paper at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan. Literally "sacred lot", these are usually received by making a small offering and randomly choosing one from a box, hoping for the resulting fortune to be good. (source wikipedia)

By unfolding the label, the customer can cut the shapes and create its own fukuwarai.
